Born into a family of sailors, Nicolas Lunven entered the world of sailing at a very young age. While pursuing his studies in business administration, he competed in numerous regattas both in France and internationally. His passion for offshore racing truly took off with his first participation in the Solitaire du Figaro in 2007. Recognized for his meteorological and strategic expertise, he gradually established himself as one of the leading sailors on the circuit. His career is marked by numerous successes, including two victories in the Solitaire du Figaro (2009 and 2017), as well as three round-the-world races with a crew. In 2024, Nicolas achieved a remarkable performance by finishing 6th in his very first Vendée Globe aboard the IMOCA Holcim-PRB, confirming his place among the elite of offshore racing. Following this success, he then participated in The Ocean Race Europe, a crewed race around the European continent, again aboard the IMOCA Holcim-PRB. In 2026, the story continues with PRB, with a return to the Figaro circuit, a demanding class and pure performance format that profoundly marked his career.
