Friends of Ocean Action launches a vision for 2030

For too long, the ocean has been treated as a conservation issue, while the decisions shaping its future are made in finance ministries, boardrooms and development banks.

As geopolitical tensions and climate pressures intensify, the Vision makes the case that ocean health is fundamental to global prosperity and stability, and must be integrated into the economic and strategic decisions shaping our future.

On the eve of New York Climate Week, the Friends of Ocean Action launched "A Vision for 2030: Global Stability and Ocean Health".

The Vision doubles down on closing the gap between ambition and implementation: bringing the ocean into economic and strategic decision- making, scaling solutions that work, mobilising finance, and elevating the new and rising voices of those on the front line.
